DISNEY VACATION CLUB RESORT
Orlando, Florida
Disney Development Company
Scale 1/32" = 1'
In under four weeks, SMU completed three highly detailed
models for a hotel complex at Florida's Disney World. The
buildings, designed by Robert Stern Architects of New York,
displayed ornate, post-modern detailing in a colorful Disney
style. Centerpiece of the two-hotel Yacht and Beach Club
resort was a 2.5 acre fantasy lagoon water recreation area
complete with a boardwalk promenade. |

Roma Design Group
Scale 1" = 100'
Size 4' x 6'
With black volcanic ash shores and tropical landscape, this
Hawaiian inlet has been beautifully transformed into a place
that is nothing short of paradise. The poured-resin water
and lush landscape materials are trademarks of
SMU resort models. The fully-landscaped terrain on this
4' x 6' model shows single-story and split level houses with
details such as patio walls, flowering accents and
individual boat docks. |

Maihama Resort

Projects International
Scale 1:200 metric
Produced for Projects International, this 5' x 15' model was
an entertainment complex designed for a Japanese development
company. Since this exquisitely detailed model was
constructed concurrently with the design, twenty modelmakers
worked day and night for three months to meet the
presentation deadline. |
